Our advanced Esports Gaming Center is located on our East Greenwich, Rhode Island campus, this high-tech facility is the epicenter of NEIT’s competitive gaming program.
Not interested in competitive gaming? Casual play and community events are the backbone of our Esports Center. All students are welcome to use our space and attend any of our various events that we host.
Our Esports Center features:
- Professional-grade gaming: RTX 4080 Super GPUs and Intel i7-13700k CPUs
- 240hz refresh rate monitors for smooth gameplay
- Ergonomic gaming chairs for extended sessions
- Dedicated spaces for team practice and tournaments

Meet the Coaches


Brandon Eigenbrode, Esports Coordinator/Head Coach
ɫƵվ Tech ‘21, Bachelor of Science in Video Game Design
Valorant Coach
Brandon oversees NEIT’s esports collegiate leagues, assistant coaches, and player recruitment. He played video games at a high level for years and was one of the best World of Warcraft players in the world in 2018. Brandon currently coaches NEIT’s Collegiate Valorant team. His goal as coordinator/head coach is to put NEIT’s esports program on the radar, making it well known throughout the northeast.

Jacob Barrios, Assistant Esports Coach
ɫƵվ Tech ‘16, Bachelor of Science in Video Game Design
Super Smash Bros. Ultimate Coach
Jacob was ranked within the top 15 in ɫƵվ for multiple seasons in his competitive Super Smash Bros career that has spanned over a decade. Jacob’s talent and ability to coach players in NEIT’s collegiate Smash league is a huge asset to NEIT’s esports program. He encourages players to challenge themselves to become better competitors and teammates.



Raija Mikkelsen, Assistant Coach
ɫƵվ Tech ‘21, Bachelor of Science in Network Engineering and Cyber Security
Rocket League, Overwatch 2, and Counter Strike 2 Coach
Raija began coaching in 2019 at her former high school, Scituate High School. Esports has been a big part of her life, playing games like Counter Strike and Rainbow Six Siege regularly. Her goal is to enhance NEIT’s esports program by expanding the high level of growth for all players.
